We knew Georgie + Ward were going to be a pretty special couple to work with when they showed up on our doorstep for their first meeting bearing a 6 pack of BonSoy for us!! Haha..! These two vegan animal and human rights activists were planning an epic DIY vegan wedding in the country and Shani and I were PUMPED to be a part of capturing it.
These super humans met 7 years ago at a protest against live animal exports and fell in love! They live on their farm in rural Victoria with 16 orphaned lambs, 5 rescue cats, 3 dogs saved from puppy farms and the list goes on. To be able to photograph a couple with such beautiful souls really makes my love for this “job” grow deeper. You can also see the rad wedding video Shani created for these guys HERE.
There is an amazing suppliers list for this ethical wedding in country Victoria if you scroll down to the bottom including many vegan wedding suppliers for anyone else who is on the hunt. Everything was set up for this private property wedding outdoors under festoon lights near the barn where everyone danced the night away. Food vendors included vegan woodfired pizzas, the infamous Woking Amazing, vegan soft serve and a doughnut wall and vegan wedding cake supplied by Smith and Deli – a famous vegan restaurant in Melbourne.
